We provide accessible and affordable preventive and primary health care, behavioral health services and education to the students of the Basalt Schools, thereby creating a healthy educational environment in which to learn and succeed.

Roaring Fork School Health Center’s origins date to 1993 when a grassroots effort conceptualized providing affordable and accessible health care in local schools. Then, in 2007, we opened the first clinic at Basalt High School. Subsequently, we opened two more clinic locations in order to meet the needs of students and staff at the Basalt Elementary and Middle Schools.

RFSHC moved into a new organizational phase in July 2011 when, with the support and encouragement of the Roaring Fork School District RE-1 (RFSD), Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) and The Colorado Health Foundation (TCHF), RFSHC formed a partnership with Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics (RMYC). This structural shift is advantageous as we promote long-term sustainability of our ongoing programs.
